I edit work with a process to retain peculiar characteristics of form and discard areas that endeared characters I work with to audiences until it grows increasingly indistinct, absorbed by the static white noise of popular culture. By removing facial features such as the mouth or the eyes, which ultimately form shapes. Abstract Expressionism and Surrealism inform part of my process in reconstructed compositions; The figures include vintage icons with characters such as Anpanman and Felix the Cat. The work is multidisciplinary, tending to explore the embodiment of sorts, using vintage turntables to match the characters I like.
